Guidance from Behind the Mask
The pandemic has forced all of us to reevaluate our practices and to try new things. KPA has started telemedicine visits and it has been quite a learning curve. Telemedicine visits are appropriate for rashes, ADHD rechecks, travel visits and more. We can check your child with telehealth and determine if they need to be seen or can be managed remotely. We can often determine if lacerations require sutures. Rashes may need to be seen in the office if the picture quality is insufficient or there are underlying conditions that need to be investigated more thoroughly in person. You can expect us to be prompt, to be able to see you and your child via your phone or your computer and have a private space in which to interact. For your part, please have you and only your child at a quiet well lighted table. Be sure your video connection is working well and the quality is decent. If you would like to schedule a telemedicine visit, please don’t hesitate to call our office. We are here for you!
