The “New” Look of KPA Cross Park
Two weeks ago, if you would have told me how our practice would change, I would not have believed you. I’m sure many of you are equally in shock at which how quickly our entire lives have changed. It’s dizzying and at times, really difficult to comprehend.
As you are all aware, last week our Clinch-Cross Park staff made the decision to completely separate our well visits and sick visits to different offices. We did this to try to ensure we could still provide all of our routine health services that are so important in pediatrics in a way that would minimize exposure to COVID 19. If you’re coming to our Clinch office, you might not notice too many changes except for minimal waiting room time (yes!) and some providers wearing masks.
The story is entirely different for our Cross Park location. Our staff are wearing masks, eye wear and other personal protective equipment. Most of our physicians and nurse practitioners are wearing scrubs. You might notice that no one is wearing white coats. We have taken all of these measures to protect ourselves and our patients in the face of uncertainty with COVID 19. We have even established a drive-up testing area for some patients. Who knew we would be doing curbside service!
All of these changes have been done with our patient and staff safety in mind. This is certainly a trying time for us all and each day brings new challenges to our office practice. We have a commitment to stay current with best practice recommendations in preventing the spread of COVID 19 and will continue to make changes as needed to keep everyone as safe as possible. Stay well!
